Scholarships

Order of Isshin-Ryu Martial Arts (OIMA) has two scholarships available:

OIMA Scholarship

This scholarship is available to OIMA students. It is awarded for training costs associated with your pursuit of training in the OIMA programs at your dojo, undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in or planning to enroll at least part-time in an academic program offered by an accredited institution of higher learning.

Grandmaster Toby Cooling Memorial Scholarship

This $1,000 scholarship is for high school seniors enrolled in postsecondary education. It is available to martial arts students of any style within the US or Canada; or non-martial arts seniors of either Bohemia Manor High School (Chesapeake City, MD) or Lower Dauphin High School (Hershey, PA).

This award honors the enduring legacy of Toby Cooling, our sensei and mentor. His lifelong dedication and leadership enriched both his local community and the broader martial arts world.
