Max Jones is a lifelong Cecil County resident and has enjoyed giving back to his community through the Key Club, National Honor Society, and other organizations he has joined throughout his life. His martial arts journey began in 2010 when he was placed in a self defense karate class after getting into conflict at school. This class piqued his interest more than any other and he was quickly hooked from the start.
Max found himself interested in both the physical and spiritual side of the art. He loved the sense of confidence and community it instilled in himself and others around him. He rose through the ranks while doing everything he could to guide his fellow kyu-ranks under his Sensei, Larry Waldridge.
Eight years later Max continues to aspire to teach and expand his horizons. He currently serves as a teacher of basic photography and a digital media tutor at Cecil College, which he graduated from with two associate’s degrees in 2022. All while serving as a retail manager of six years and pursuing his own continued education at Wilmington University.
In whatever free time Max saves for himself, he enjoys hosting his friends to a wondrous D&D session, tinkering with 3D modeling and printing software, or experimenting with another set of skills.
